This was a brief shower with some lightning. At first I thought the noise was the wind beating on the house, until I went to a door to check. Rain and hail together, with a gusty wind, so I didn't go off the porch. My sizing of hail is based on what blew onto the porch. I didn't think to pick up any to take a closer look--next time. The rain and hail ended at the same time, so I assumed that the rain and hail began at the same time. I really wasn't prepared to gather data on hail as it has been a long time since there has been hail here, nor did the forecast give me any expectation that there might be hail |
