Notes: |
This hail report is for the Taft Hill (from US34) to Harmony to I-25 to Mulberry area. I was driving to a friend's house, from Estes Park. We noticed hail when on Taft Hill just north of US34 Harmony. Mostly pea sized, sometimes falling hard enough to bounce off the pavement. Hail was mixed soft/hard, white and "fuzzy" - had little projections on it. Did not look or feel like snow pellets. Hail fell continuously, although with differing quantities all the way during my drive home. The heaviest hail we drove through was at Taft Hill and Harmony area. I'm sorry I didn't report last night. I'm making a separate report for my station location (with hail pad). |
