We're currently about 5.50" below normal for rainfall since January 1st and conditions are worsening every day. Only 0.11" of rain since July 1st, rains keep missing my immediate area. Lawns have completely stopped growing and are becoming very brown. The corn crop is currently at the beginning of its pollination stage and dryness during this time will lead to permanent yield loss, especially if we don't receive beneficial rain over the next 7-14 days. Conditions of our crops could get ugly in a hurry.
