Heavy rain and torrential rain has been falling this morning. The temperatures have been much below normal last week and several degrees below normal for May in 2025. Precipitation has been well above normal for May with periods of extreme wetness. The ground is becoming supersaturated again on the morning of May 30, 2025. There was a watermain break on Johns Hill Road several days ago due to shifting ground caused by the supersaturated soil. The lawns are growing much faster than normal. Part of route 8 is closed in Campbell County due to a land slide. Mosquitoes are a serious problem in Campbell County. There are areas of localized standing water. Neighbor's inground swimming pool had overflowed again on the morning of May 30, 2025 making my backyard super wet. Lawn care companies working over time to try to keep up the extreme amount of mowing work. Almost severely wet again. Pond level above normal. Despite having 2 fairly clear & dry days, today on June 2, 2025, I had a hard time cutting my lawn because the lawn mower keeps on jamming. The grass still is very wet and dewy this morning. The ground still is supersaturated on June 2, 2025. Neighbor had pumped water out of their inground pool to lower the water level to back to normal on June 1, 2025 which had overflowed on May 30,2025. Much below normal temperatures the past 10 days.
