Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: NY-SL-21
Station Name: Heuvelton 0.3 WNW
Report Date: 4/2/2025
Submitted: 4/02/2025 10:03 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Wet
Description:
Over 1.5" of precipitation in the past week that came as snow, freezing rain, sleet, and rain. We're going with Moderately Wet and we get a participation award for surviving. Ground is not soppy, but it's plenty moist.

No new news on trees. No tree damage from the recent 2 day ice event here.

Heard peepers for the first time 2 nights ago, temp were in the 40s and I think they said "We're doing this" even though they have not had a truly warm spring night with no snow yet.

Allergies might be moderate. It's hard to tell.

Time to plant. First seeds going into this week-- some for indoor starters and some (God willing) in the outdoors dirt. Is there any more optimistic statement of hope than shoving fat dry seeds into the cold wet ground? I don't think so. Let's do this.
