Notes: Light snow began falling at appx. 2:00 p.m. CDT on Tues. April 1 and gradually intensified into moderate but steady snowfall by 3:00 p.m. that continued intermittently throughout the evening and overnight, mixed with periods of moderate rainfall. The mixed precip continued until appx. 4:00 p.m. CDT on Wed., April 2. The accumulated snow was very slushy, and may have measured deeper overnight while I was asleep, but also rapidly settled, compacted and melted as it was falling in temps just above freezing and mixed with periods of rain. This was the second 48-hour precipitation even in a week! The moisture is desperately needed in my region to alleviate persistent drought. Hoping this wetter pattern will persist into the spring and summer.
